La <a href=\"https:\/\/vsmabrasivos.com\/blog\/prehistoria-abrasivos\/\">historia de los abrasivos<\/a> tiene una larga trayectoria, remont\u00e1ndose hasta la prehistoria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>El <strong>circonio o zirconio<\/strong> es un metal de transici\u00f3n brillante, y entre sus <strong>caracter\u00edsticas f\u00edsicas<\/strong>, podemos decir que se trata de un <strong>metal de color blanco gris\u00e1ceo, duro, resistente a la corrosi\u00f3n<\/strong>, de apariencia similar al acero. Entre sus usos, uno de los principales es como <strong>material abrasivo<\/strong>. Sin esta informaci\u00f3n, las mediciones de la masa at\u00f3mica siempre fueron un algo elevadas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #000000; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><strong><em><u>Curiosidad:<\/u><\/em><\/strong> La primera aplicaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica del circonio fue su utilizaci\u00f3n como\u00a0flash\u00a0en fotograf\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Estructura_cristalina\"><\/span>Estructura cristalina:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogvsmabrasives.es\/?p=385&amp;preview=true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-386\" src=\"https:\/\/vsmabrasivos.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/ESTRUCTURA20CRISTALINA20DEL20CIRCONIO.png\" alt=\"estructura cristalina del circonio\" width=\"228\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">Seg\u00fan vimos en el<\/span> art\u00edculo sobre la <a href=\"https:\/\/vsmabrasivos.com\/blog\/dureza-tenacidad-abrasivos-oxido-aluminio-carburo-silicio\/\">dureza y tenacidad del \u00f3xido de aluminio y el carburo de silicio<\/a>,<span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #ff0000; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0para la fabricaci\u00f3n de abrasivos, <strong>dureza y tenacidad son dos cualidades cr\u00edticas en un grano abrasivo<\/strong>, que desgraciadamente se contraponen.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: #ff0000; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La excelente tenacidad del Circonio<strong> lo convierte en un candidato perfecto para ser utilizado en una estructura de grano abrasivo<\/strong>, aunque no de forma individual, pues aunque su capacidad de resistir impactos sin fragmentarse le proporciona una gran duraci\u00f3n, su menor dureza respecto el resto de materiales abrasivos comunes, le impedir\u00eda desarrollar un trabajo adecuado.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>No obstante, presenta una <strong>caracter\u00edstica \u00fanica de auto-afilado que prolonga su duraci\u00f3n en operaciones de eliminaci\u00f3n de material<\/strong>.
